Elephant escapes in Timperley

Someone left the gate, of the emergency containment area in Timperley, open.

Clara, a three year old African elephant, smelt freedom and the call of the circus and within minutes she had snapped her shackles and was off out of the gate and down Ash Grove.

A spokesperson for TEC (Timperley Elephant Control) apologised for the unfortunate incident, but added that next year's Timperley Early Rhubarb crop might be the beneficiary of some hastily collected droppings in Clara's wake. She was very excited!

Epitaph - King Crimson

Confusion will be my epitaph.
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back and laugh.
But I fear tomorrow Ill be crying,
Yes I fear tomorrow Ill be crying.

Claustros

Claustros is an allegorical visual poem in nine chapters. All nine chapters will eventually be published here.

Claustros started life in the 1970s as a single painting (oil on stretched newspaper, aprrox 600 x 600 mm), which I sold for about £10. The original painting is recreated as Claustros V.
A second painting was commissioned and produced (which is recreated as VI) - similar size, similar price and the idea for a trilogy was born; however I don't think that the third painting was ever created.
As the idea for the trilogy emerged, so did the concept of a poem (which was written, though sadly lost to time) which evolved firstly into a tetrology, then up to six or seven chapters (I think).

This modern rework attempts to recreate the vision of those earlier thoughts, but alas may be subject to the vagaries of time and fading memory.

Tips for men over 60

Heard on TV last night (Billy Connolly repeat somewhere). three tips for men over sixty:-
  1. Never pass up the opportunity for a piss.
  2. Never trust a fart.
  3. If you get an erection, use it; even if you're on your own.
